Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing and overseeing the psychiatric and medical assessment and care of patients receiving service
Experience in the following areas is desired.
1) Assessment of acute psychiatric conditions in patients.
2) Treating individuals with various psychiatric conditions.
3) Providing psychiatric care in a diverse setting, preferably in both hospitals and home care practices and in the academic setting.

To assess client's needs, abilities/ behavior using a variety of methods, including Psychometric tests, interviews & direct observation of their behavior
To devise and monitor appropriate treatment programs, including therapy, counselling, in collaboration with colleagues
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, Psychiatrists, social workers, Physiotherapists etc
To offer therapy and treatment for issues relating to a range of mental health conditions
To counsel and support caregivers
Required Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification- MPhil in Clinical Psychology with RCI registration with minimum 1 year’ experience
Should be well presented with excellent communication skills (English & Tamil)
Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.
Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patients’ arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification- Any graduate with minimum 2 years experience in healthcare/hospitality sector
Should be well presented with excellent communication skills (English & Tamil)
• work with patients who have a range of conditions, including neurological, neuromusculoskeletal disorders,
• make a clinical assessment and diagnosis in order to treat their physical problem/condition
• design and review clinical management plans that encourage exercise and movement by the use of a range of techniques, and which may include specialist rehabilitation, life-style medicine, long-term strategies, and clinical techniques
• involve parents and care givers in the treatment, review and rehabilitation of patients
• educate patients and their care givers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions
• document patient case notes and reports in Electronic health record
• liaise with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, consultants, psychologists and social workers, to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention
• keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients
• supervise student and junior physiotherapists
• be legally responsible and accountable
• be caring, compassionate and professional at all times
• manage clinical risk.
